first draft of second essay - not finished, yet.

Are cars really necessary?

Since a vehicle was invented for the first time, cars have become one of the most popular things in the world. As the number of cars is skyrocketing today, some people argue that vehicles are not useful because of the severe traffic congestion. As a result, they believe that it is a waste of time and money to drive a car. However, cars give us more convenience than the other transportations. Technology is also getting smart and clever. Therefore, cars are still really necessary.

First of all, it is convenient to drive a car. When people use the public transportation, they feel inconvenient easily because they have to walk to the bus stops or stations, transfer to other transportations, or there are lots of people in buses or subways. Moreover, drivers can save time and money. Admittedly, traffic jam is getting worse. However, as the technology develops, there are lots of machines which can help drivers. For example, navigations or GPS provide useful information such as the fastest way to a destination.

Although the invention of cars has caused some problems, new technology has solved most these problems, and they will be solved in the future.
