Are cars really necessary?
Since a vehicle was invented for the first time, cars have become one of the most popular things in the world. As the number of cars is skyrocketing today, some people argue that vehicles are not useful because of the severe traffic congestion. As a result, they believe that it is a waste of time and money to drive a car. However, cars give us more convenience than the other transportations. Technologies are also getting smarter and cleverer. Therefore, cars are really necessary.
First of all, it is convenient to drive a car. When people use the public transportation, they feel inconvenient easily because they have to walk to the bus stops or stations, transfer to other transportations, there are lots of people in buses or subways, and they cannot obtain their private spaces. Moreover, drivers can save time and money. Admittedly, traffic jam is getting worse. However, as technologies develop, there are lots of machines which can help drivers. For example, navigations or GPS show the fastest way to a destination.
To sum up, the main two reasons why we drive a car are its convenience and efficiency. Drivers can get in the cars in front of their houses and get off at their destinations. Furthermore, cutting-edge technologies provide useful information which makes them drive easier and faster. Although the invention of cars has caused some problems, new technologies have been answering to these problems mostly, and they will be solved in the future.
